Day One

Well the day of travel is over. Travel was safe and we moved right through. Nick met us at the Airport in San Jose and a friend from the YWAM base picked us up and took us over to the base... It is a really cool base. It seems that God is already working things out. There is alot of work to be done, and it is clear that we were sent here to bless these people. The buildings we help build and the other things we do will bless the work of this base and from that will bless the people of San Jose as the Gospel goes out from this place. And not that we are so great for doing these things... It is only by God's grace we have any ability or desire to do it at all. God Bless your work.

From this base they do DTS's, Mission Adventures, and other short term trips. Terry is the head man and he has alot of Ideas. They are building alot and just beggining to develop more of the land that they own. We will be helping them finish their new office/DTS class room. We will also help with their garden in order to make the base more self sufficent. We may pour some cement to help them them finish their Woodshop as well. There are also many other things that we will be working on. It looks like there will be alot of ways to serve.

Our prayer and worship time tonight was blessed. God came. Please agree with us in prayer that God would continue to give us an eternal perspective. Pray for God to pour out his spirit on this base and this country.

God Provides

We just finished our meal to raise money and wow... God is good. Through his servants he has given us over $500. Thank you Jesus for providing! Also thanks to all those who gave, and to those who ate, and those who did both. We are truly blessed by your generosity. We pray that God blesses you. Please continue to pray for us as we leave in just 12 hours. We are excited to see what God will do as we begin this journey.... 12 hours, Costa Rica Here we come. God show us the way.

2nd Corinthians 9:6
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."

One More Day

It is Sunday, just one day left before we take off for Central America. We are having a meal at church today to raise some money.... Baked Ziti yum. Getting ready to travel is definately different than the last time. With all the craziness at the airports we are having to really think about what we pack where. But It looks like we will do alright.

Our Flight leaves 6:16 AM and the total travel time will be about 7 hours. We should land in San Jose Costa Rica at 12:45. From there Nick will pick us up and take us to the YWAM base where we will spend the first week. We will be doing some work on the base.

God has really blessed us with supportive families. They have been awesome in helping us get ready. This trip should be fantastic. Pray that God Does it. Amen
